In 1926 he ventured to Winnipeg to work for his uncle's company, Hagborg Fuel

Company.he worked there for 3 winters and for the Fort Rouge Coal Company for 4

winters. Summer always found Andy back home, helping on the farm. In 1935 he

married Henny Enquist from Chatfield. They moved into their new house across

the road from the "home place" and started to build up their own farm. In 1936

the first trees were planted in what was to become a prize-winning yard. In

addition to helping in Meadows organisations, Andy and Henny have taken an

active part in the Rosser Curling Club. Winter finds them on the "Bonspiel

Trail". In 1970 Andy was the Ward 1 councillor for Rosser Municipality Through

the years Andy bought more land. They have 2 children, Shirley and Violet.
