Have picture at age 25 (1893) 3 years after emigrating to Canada from

Skane(Scania) Sverige. After working a year in Canada, he sent tickets to his

sister Martha and brother Andrew to come to Canada. His polio-crippled brother

Ola remained and taught school for many years in Sverige. Two sisters Elsa and

Una also remained in Sverige. All had families. - WAFH Note - also sister Matta,

Elna remained in Sverige. Worked loading ties on Montreal docks first. Then came

to Manitoba as farm labourer. Anvil at Treherne displayed which he could pick

up with little finger. Began hauling wood & water in Winnipeg in 1890's on

cart. Turned into Hagborg Fuel Co. which was major coal dealer. Buried in lot

1895 Brookside Cemetery Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Married Karolina Nelson
